A place to put what you meant to read
Paste an address, and it is fetched, judged and cleaned into an article here.
Paste an address into the field at the top of the queue. The page is fetched, read for what kind of thing it is, and cleaned into the column you are reading now: no sidebar, no newsletter plea, no autoplaying video.
While it is still a queue
A saved link sits in the queue until it is read. While it is fetched it says so; if a page refuses to answer, the queue says that too, in a sentence rather than a code, and a retry starts the whole thing over.
Press J and K to move down and up the list, Enter to open what is selected, E to archive it from the queue without opening it, and Backspace to remove it (undo for five seconds). Press ? at any time for the full list.
While you are reading
The Aa button at the top of an article opens the typography panel: a theme (white, paper, sepia or the room's own dark), a typeface, a size, a line height and a column width. Nothing here is decided for you twice; what you set follows you from one article to the next.
Where you stopped is remembered, so leaving an article and coming back to it later picks the page up where you left it, not at the top.
When it is not an article
A page that is a video, a PDF, a paywall or a long list of other links is not rewritten into something it is not. It says plainly what it found and offers the original, in the browser it was built for.
Archive what you have read, send a long piece to your Kindle from its own menu once you have linked one, and the rest is just a queue, read in order, or not.
